Methacton 82, Great Valley 60
Methacton hit the ground running with a 27-point first quarter and never let up as the white-hot Warriors logged their eighth consecutive victory at home on Saturday against a strong Great Valley squad. Mason Conrad had his most productive game of the season with a team-high 24 points, while John Leet knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 23 of his own in the win. Wes Robinson also reached double figures with 16 points and dished out seven assists for the Warriors (9-3 overall), who will resume PAC play on Monday night with a crossover matchup at Upper Merion.
Chris Woodard led all scorers with 28 points for Great Valley (also 9-3) and Aryan Honde contributed 24, with each player connecting on four triples.
Spring-Ford 73, Exeter Township 61
Syaire Barnes led four Spring-Ford players in double figures with 19 points as the Rams toppled visiting Exeter Township on Saturday afternoon. Jack Kennedy was next in line with 14 points for Spring-Ford (10-2), followed by Matteo Magazzolo’s 11 points and Bryce Robinson’s 10. The Rams resume PAC play on Tuesday night with a crossover bout at Phoenixville.
Upper Merion 37, Lower Moreland 31
Kevin Norris scored all of his team-high 11 points during a critical second half to help Upper Merion win its second game of the season on Saturday at Lower Moreland. Izere Alston and Taylor Williams each chipped in six points for the Vikings (2-8) in the triumph.
Pope John Paul II 83, Samuel Fels 75
Trailing most of the game during its Saturday trip to Philly, PJP stormed back in the fourth quarter behind a career-high 21 points from Lucas Pekofsky to win the team’s eighth consecutive contest. Four additional Golden Panthers (11-2) joined Pekofsky in double digits: Ayden Wise (16), Jason Green (14), Jude Schuberth (14) and Jack Kessler (12). The defending PAC champions resume league play on Tuesday night when they host Upper Perkiomen.
Central Bucks West 65, Owen J. Roberts 50
OJR led for a majority of the first half and trailed by only two points at halftime before the Bucks created some separation on the scoreboard in the third quarter and closed out the visiting Wildcats on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Ryan Simpson led OJR (4-9) with 15 points and senior Adam Stahl chipped in 10 in the losing effort. The Wildcats next host Norristown in a Tuesday night PAC crossover battle.
Dock Mennonite Academy 71, Norristown 41
Amari Minor posted a team-best 14 points and Ish Eaddy added 11 in support but Norristown remained on the hunt for its first win of the season as the Eagles fell to 0-11 overall on the season in a road non-league contest at Dock.
North Penn 73, Pottsgrove 49
Chance Rosenberger drained three triples en route to a team-high 15 points but Pottsgrove could not sustain a scorching first half from the host Knights on Saturday. Bryce Phillips chipped in 11 points for the Falcons, who fell to 6-5 following the non-league setback. Pottsgrove will welcome Perkiomen Valley to campus as PAC play resumes on Tuesday night.

Pope John Paul II 42, Abington Friends School 36
Sophie Vigliotta netted seven of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter as PJP finished strong following a sluggish first quarter at AFS on Saturday afternoon. Caitlin Cianci went 5-for-6 at the foul line in the fourth quarter and ended her day with 10 points as the Golden Panthers won their sixth consecutive contest and improved to 9-3 on the season. The reigning Frontier Division champions will test their mettle at 7-2 Spring-Ford on Tuesday night in a PAC crossover battle of Royersford.
Boyertown 52, Pennridge 38
Rhian Harper led three Boyertown players in double figures with 13 points as the Bears snapped a seven-game losing skid at home on Saturday. Samirah Marshall tallied 12 points and Chloe Engler provided 11 for Boyertown (3-8), which will resume PAC play at Pottstown on Tuesday night.
Downingtown West 52, Pottsgrove 26
Kendra Ivory’s 14-point, 11-rebound double-double led the charge but a shorthanded Pottsgrove team fell behind 30-7 at halftime and never recovered against the now second-ranked team in Class 6A on Saturday. Thelia Dellaquilla had a nice all-around effort of eight points, three steals and three rebounds for the Falcons (5-6), who will resume league play at three-time defending PAC champion Perk Valley on Tuesday night.

Parkland Winter Duals (Parkland HS)
Boyertown continued its strong season at the Parkland Winter Duals in the team’s first competition of the New Year on Saturday as the Bears won five out of six dual matches to improve their record to 10-1 overall. Four Boyertown wrestlers went 6-0 on the day: Liam Diamond (139 pounds), Boden Waite (127), Kaleb Dumin (215) and Josh Larrimore (189). Diamond’s record jumped to 21-5 on the season, while Waite, Dumin and Larrimore all reached 18 wins by the end of the day.
The Bears secured team wins over Southern Lehigh (65-3), Delaware Valley (56-6), Parkland (40-22), La Salle (52-16) and Quakertown (52-12) before dropping a 41-20 decision to Northampton in the championship match. Boyertown will begin PAC play on Wednesday night at Spring-Ford.
Barry Hostetter Duals (Oxford HS)
Spring-Ford went 2-3 as a team at the Barry Hostetter Duals at Oxford Area High School on Saturday, starting the day with head-to-head victories over Lower Merion (39-27) and Unionville (54-16) before dropping three straight to Wilson West Lawn, Malvern Prep and the host Hornets. Crew Jackson won four of his five matches at 121 pounds as did Roman Forbes at 152 for Spring-Ford, which finished its day in fourth place.
Girls Wrestling
Matness at the MACC (Liberty Arena, Williamsport)
Upper Perkiomen enjoyed its best tournament finish of the season on Saturday, placing seventh out of 19 competing teams in the Matness at the MACC event in Williamsport. Six Indians wrestlers won their respective weight classes: Keyra Seville (100 pounds), Charlotte Pierson (124), Akira Finger (130), Nevaeh Mojica (136), Adria Page (155) and Leila Lopez (235). Madelyn Smith finished second at 106, as did Brianna Godshall at 112 and Alyssa Crist at 142. Alexandra Cannon (118) and Marielle Becker (170) took home third place for Upper Perk, which will open up PAC play on Wednesday night at Pottstown.
