Democrat colors are on full display as they are far more upset over the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel than the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. Just one week later, and we’re back to the name-calling — so much for “toning down the rhetoric”! Kudos to Disney/ABC for doing the right thing. Kimmel’s inaccurate, insensitive, and hateful remarks were spoken at a time when our country was, and still is, reeling from this tragedy.

What a shame in our country, with all of our resources, that we need to have Farm Aid concerts to raise money for farmers who are losing their farms and letting their crops rot in the field, because of Trump’s stupid tariffs. People are going hungry needlessly who could use that food. Meanwhile, as the saying goes, Trump is “Fat and Happy.”. People like Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and others care. Trump doesn’t.
Josh Shapiro wants to use tax dollars to pay for SEPTA’s outrageous union rates. Giving a union tax dollars is a huge mistake. I won’t get any benefits from the union.
Jimmy Kimmel learned the hard way that the 1st Amendment only prevents the government from punishing you for stupid statements. It doesn’t stop employers, advertisers, or the general public from showing their displeasure with you.

Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings went down by 43% from January 2025 to August 2025. That is the reason ABC/Disney suspended him. Reruns of Gunsmoke were getting more viewers than he was.
Hoping you wouldn’t notice, those beating the gun confiscation drum, e.g., Rep. Houlahan, are among the parties who have made cashless bail an option in cases of attempted murder. So noted, it may be time, with one caveat, to end the practice of bail altogether, as it is discriminatory to the indigent. The caveat? Hold jurists civilly and, if need be, criminally liable for the consequences of decisions to detain or release.

The death of Charlie Kirk will always be a sad and unnecessary loss. What we rail against is the Trump/GOP. They are hypocrites, liars, and they (especially Trump) are disingenuously grieving Kirk’s loss while using it to further their mission to dismantle our democracy. The latest to go — free speech. In 7 months, they’ve accomplished almost half of the goals of Project 2025. I will always fight, just not so acrimoniously

One Saturday of Trump’s chaos: He sicced his AG on enemies, buried a bribery probe, let Pentagon brass bully journalists, schemed to hand TikTok to GOP donors, threatened “bad things” over Bagram, and his counterterror chief bickered with Laura Loomer. None of this is normal — it’s MAGA corruption poisoning democracy. And MAGA cheers it on, proving they don’t want freedom, just a dictator in a red hat.

Jimmy Kimmel found out that lying repeatedly on the air is not a good idea. Jimmy Kimmel has been spreading lies and misinformation since 2017. His latest lie was that Charlie Kirk’s assassin was a MAGA supporter. The assassin’s own mother contradicts that claim. Now ABC has pulled Kimmel’s show. It won’t be missed. Remember this, Kimmel can’t tell Jewish jokes, Muslim jokes, Gay jokes, etc, either.

First, they came for the immigrants, and I did not speak out — because I am not an immigrant. Then they came for the journalists, and I did not speak out — because I am not a journalist. Then they came for the comedians, and I did not speak out — because I am not a Comedian. Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

Gotta love all the TDS (Trump Devotion Syndrome) fans in this forum. Pink calls Melania magnificent. I suppose she was when she appeared in Penthouse a few years ago. And Righty Tighty complained about folks not using their real names when posting, then he or she signed Righty Tighty. Can’t make this foolishness up.

I’m just going to say it: Vaccines are safe and effective. RFK Jr. is not.

It’s time to put an end to these Sound Off posts about Charlie Kirk. You are only adding to the fire when you continue this from both sides. Murder is murder, so let it go and not continue to add to both sides of the debate. I would hope The Mercury is better than that.
Lefty, were you oblivious to Biden’s cognitive decline while in office? Trump is just starting earlier in his term. Missy Miss, we’ve experienced economic peaks and valleys before under both parties. The valley has never been at the behest of a president who has bankrupted 5 businesses.

1. Another record high for the Stock Market. I love my 401(k) under Trump. 2. Where the heck do these Democrat Sound Off writers shop? I have seen a bunch of prices go down. Pay attention. 3. Could the Democrats lay off the fascism, Hitler, and dictator stuff for just a little while? It is so repetitive. Get some new material.

On Sept. 7, Jay Miller wrote that the windmill project off the coast of Rhode Island will lower the cost of electricity to 350 million consumers. Windmill power has never lowered the cost of electricity to anyone. Sounds like someone is “making this stuff up.”

There you go, Real America, you really have a model for what Democrats want for USA elections. Real America holds up Russia as an exemplary model for free and open elections in the USA. Mail-in voting is how RUSSIA holds free and open elections. Democrats can’t help but want to imitate Russia.

In an article by Jenn Gidman,1 in 20 deaths in Canada are assisted deaths, with reasons like mental illness and also being too poor to get medical treatment.
American voters forgot that a con-artist tells people what they want to hear, not always the truth.

Protestors outside ABC headquarters were protesting in support of Jimmy Kimmel and yelling, “Bring back Jimmy.” The bad news for Jimmy is that there were only about 50 people. Good news for Jimmy, though … a lot of car washes are hiring in LA.

I feel sorry for those folks who don’t have a dog. If they drop food on the floor, they have to bend over and pick it up.
