I saw a guy on a bicycle this weekend near the bike lane on High Street. He was in the parking lot of the Gulf station, but I think it’s entirely possible that at some point he used, or at least crossed over, one of the bike lanes.

I am impressed at how Michael Stern has made so many Sound Off commenters obsessed with his posts. Joe Frank even tracks the days for each of Stern’s comments. I wonder if Joe Frank works for Media Matters. Given the obviously overwhelming readership that Stern has, The Mercury should be sure to publish Stern every day — maybe even use Stern and Fitch in promo ads.

Referring to illegal aliens as undocumented migrants is like calling drug dealers “uncertified pharmacists.”
Democrats are saying that crime in Washington, DC, is not a problem. I got news for them, I would not take a chance to take a walk there after dark. The former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund says Trump is right. And even Joe Scarborough of MSNBC agrees with Trump. 97% of the murders in DC are of black citizens. Democrats couldn’t care less about them.
Mr. Democracy
Gavin Newsom is running for president, and he is emulating Joe Biden. Yesterday, he took on Joe Biden’s tough guy words. Newsom said this: “I’ll Punch ‘Sons of Bitches’ Trump, Republicans ‘In the Mouth’.” If he did try to throw a punch, he probably would break a fingernail and ruin his manicure.

Democrats have been the masters of gerrymandering for years, and now they dare to criticize Republicans for doing it? They say they’re going to retaliate — Ha! Illinois, California, New York are the most gerrymandered states in the country — they’ve got nothing left to do! But it’s all a moot — Republicans will be picking up additional seats in the next census since 4,000-5,000 people are moving from blue to red states every year.

One key to America’s greatness was decentralization of control of the populace. Fed: 3 coequal branches. Multiple state and local govt. Privately run schools, businesses, and institutions. Trump seeks to bring all under his control, his whims. Congress, courts, states, cities, local municipalities, schools, businesses, law firms, media are now expected to bend the knee to executive orders with no legal force outside the executive branch. That’s dictatorship. Not maybe someday, but now. Wake up!
Many Democrats have written Sound Off Column comments saying Trump is a threat to Democracy. Essentially, they are repeating media and elected Democrat talking points. I am still waiting for someone to tell me how Trump is a threat to Democracy. He has obeyed every court order, he hasn’t declared martial law, he hasn’t arrested a single Democrat, and his party isn’t the party of voter fraud.

Michael Stern, Trump’s nominees wouldn’t be held up if they had proper qualifications. Laughing, the stock market is soaring because businesses aren’t paying for the tariffs; we are. Len, the increase in median income is keeping even with the rate of inflation. Jim Fitch, I thought drunks use light poles to stop.
The Moderate
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said, “Democrats in California must be stopped with their illegal gerrymandering.” I nominate little Mikey for “Hypocrite of the Year Award.” The little weasel in Texas, Greg Abbott, started this mess. Mikey didn’t mention that part.
Wow, Wednesday was the day I got thrown under the bus 3 times! Patriot54, I think loan forgiveness for people who are protecting us is fantastic, instead of liberal millionaires. No name, I meant J6ers weren’t treated with any due process, and illegals are arrested and released the same day for worse! Joe Frank, I love what Tony Phyrillas does doing Sound Off. He must laugh every day! TDS has ruined people’s minds!

Cheating, lying, bullying, always blaming others, pulling numbers out of the air, making up stories, pushing to take over the world, competing with Putin. He is a pawn manipulated by the KGB, smart man. He has no right to negotiate someone else’s land. He was voted for this country, not serving other countries. Rambles on and on. Wish he would shut up! He is a wack job! The 2025 election was rigged by the MAGAs.

Dutch’s Believe it or Not: The Democrats in Washington, DC, are asking their party members to protest Trump’s federalization of the police in Washington, DC, by going outside and banging on pots and pans for 5 minutes at 8 PM every night. Sounds like the Democrats are being run by middle school students.

Made in America boom! Just this week, AbbVie announced a $195 million investment to expand in the US. Apple $600 billion over the next 4 years, Century Aluminum $50 million in manufacturing in SC, Ford $5 billion across KY and MI, GE $3 billion expanding plants in 5 states. Trump is delivering big wins for hardworking Americans.
Alaska Summit: Trump fawning over Putin. He touched him more and longer than he ever touched his wife. He said his minimum expectation was scheduling a trilateral meeting. Failed. Following the summit, did he call Zelenskyy? No. He called Hannity. He sent his followers a message asking for money. He is a joke.

Barack Hussein Obama. A man who once claimed his administration was “scandal-free.” A man the media deified as the moral compass of American politics. Turns out he was the architect of one of the most corrosive abuses of power in modern history.

If Trump’s so “dangerous,” why did wars end and peace deals get signed under his watch? He’s the President of peace.
Before I left for work, I told my wife that her teeth looked like a flock of shorn sheep. I think it was a big mistake. My face is still smarting from her hand. Since I read it in Song of Solomon 4:2, I thought it would be a compliment. I guess I will skip verse 1 that says “Your hair is like a flock of goats…”

Recently, a young guy asked me if I thought a young girl or a kangaroo would make a better companion. I said, ” One is cute and seems harmless, but they can be loud, expensive to keep, and totally untrainable. I’m sorry, but I don’t know much about kangaroos!”
