Roman Storti continued his strong play of late by producing a team-high 15 points to help OJR snap a three-game win streak at home on Friday night. Dazh Rose added 14 points for the Wildcats (3-4, 1-1 PAC Frontier), while Gavin Winnick chipped in eight and Ryan Simpson, Tyler Blaum and Chris Flynn all posted six points apiece. Simpson also led the defensive effort in OJR’s triumph.
Isaiah Robinson led all scorers with 16 points for UM, including 11 points and three triples in the first quarter alone. Kevin Norris was next on the scoresheet with nine points for the Vikings (0-4, 0-2).
Girls Basketball
Norwin 61, Perkiomen Valley 59
Scarlett Lee posted a team-high 13 points but Perk Valley dropped its first game of the season and first contest since last January to visiting Norwin from western Pennsylvania. Hannah Evans (12 points) and Gabby Russo (10 points) also supplied double-digit points for the Lady Vikings (4-1), while Kate Nemic and Megan King were not far off with nine and eight points, respectively. The defeat snapped a 33-game win streak for PV against PIAA opponents.
