LOWER POTTSGROVE – Royal Farms is continuing its push into southeastern Pennsylvania with the opening of its newest store in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
After eight months of construction, the 5,150-square-foot store, 296 Armand Hammer Blvd., will officially open at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 9 — bringing its “World-Famous” fried chicken, fresh food, fuel and convenience items.
To give the community a “taste” of what’s to come, the Baltimore-based convenience chain hosted a soft opening on Wednesday, June 4, with another one planned for Thursday, June 5.
The special event — which the company calls “Get Ready to ROFO,” is held at each new store opening. The ticketed event is designed to allow the community to preview the new store and its offerings.

A total of 420 tickets were claimed ahead of the event, according to a spokeswoman for Royal Farms. Each ticket holder received a complimentary meal from the soft opening menu.
Wednesday’s event was held from 5 to 7 p.m., and a steady stream of customers flowed through — some taking their meals to go, while others sat at tables in the store.

The store wasn’t fully open during the event — just the fresh food and beverages area. When fully open, the store will feature:
• 16 Fuel Dispensers
• Car Wash
• 24/7 Service
• Fresh, Made-to-Order Food
The new Royal Farms is managed by Leon Bullock, a 10-year veteran of Royal Farms who is familiar with new store openings.
He said Wednesday’s event was running smoothly, and the store’s 40 employees are ready for Monday. While the soft opening event was a “controlled” event — Monday will be much busier.
“We learn from our previous openings,” Bullock said. “The soft openings also help us plan.”

The new store is the 20th Pennsylvania location for the chain, and the sixth in Montgomery County. The other Montgomery County Royal Farms are in Hatfield Township, Towamencin Township, Collegeville, Upper Gwynedd and Norristown. There is also one location in Chester County and four in Delaware County, as well as one location in Amity Township in Berks County, which opened in June 2024.
“Bringing Royal Farms to Pottstown means sharing our World-Famous Chicken, fresh food, and signature customer service with a new neighborhood,” Melanie Clements, Royal Farms district leader, said in a statement. “We’re proud to continue our growth in Pennsylvania and look forward to serving the Pottstown community 24/7.”

Founded in Baltimore in 1959, Royal Farms has more than 300 locations in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
