Willow Run. With supply dramatically lagging demand, the cost of housing is concerning. Contributing to this problem and unaddressed by State Rep. Ciresi are the estimated 250,000-500,000 unauthorized migrants in PA. In addition, I have no recollection of the representative haranguing his party for delivering 20+% inflation and unprecedented local tax increases. If rent control is his solution to housing costs, history informs us that it will only disincentivize new construction.

The Climate Crazies now use terms such as “extreme weather” and “overheating” instead of climate change. Of course, pollution is a major concern for the planet, with chemicals in the air and water causing illness, while climate change is a “for-profit hoax” perpetrated on Western countries. Hopefully, these loonies will have no luck trying to foist their new code words on unsuspecting Americans, but I have my doubts.
Truth Be Told
Obama is back. He is now claiming that redistricting is an “existential threat to democracy.” So, where was Obama when Massachusetts Democrats gerrymandered their state so that Republicans have no representation in Congress? Answer: Cheering them on.

The Associated Press, when they’re not publishing articles written directly by The Hamas News Organization, is publishing articles written by their own in-house “news journalist” who goes by the name Wafaa Shurafa, who is a documented member of Hamas. One way or another, The Associated Press is going to print Hamas propaganda.

Saying MAGAts are patriots is like saying arsonists are firefighters or traitors are freedom fighters. Levengood, Stern, Palladino, Dot, Furlong, Minniger, Otis, and Marine Forever can shout all day — fraud wrapped in a red hat is still a fraud.

We all owe Diana our gratitude for graciously paying for The Moderate’s Mercury subscription renewal. Now we have at least another year of laughing over The Moderate’s left-wing progressive liberal garbage in Sound Off.
Levengood — Many countries use mail-in voting. So, did Trump lie yet again, or is the POTUS that ill-informed? Which is worse? Let’s see if he doubles down and repeats it (would be the norm). Trump is so focused on election fraud, yet doesn’t know this simple fact? Is it embarrassing, or just part of the Trump club where lies (propaganda) are okay? This pattern has become so common, I’d genuinely like to know.

Donald Trump doesn’t appear in public for two days — The Left: “He’s dead!” Joe Biden can’t form a full sentence in four years — The Left: “He’s the greatest president ever!” Dems be tripp’n!

A big thank-you goes out to President Trump for bringing down gas prices on Labor Day to the lowest price in 5 years. Trump really works for the little people like me. It is nice when I go to fill up that the prices are down.

Crime has never been a top issue for the Democratic Party or its base. Their motto has always been- “Leave well-enough alone / Ignore the issues and they’ll go away.” That’s why we see a bunch of dopes out in the streets protesting against law enforcement. It took Trump 4 months to completely end illegal border crossings and just 12 days to make Washington, DC, a crime-free city. God bless President Trump and the Republican Party!

Craig, two things, first is that no president, the leader of this country, should say anything to divide this country. Whatever Biden said was not appropriate. Trump calls anyone who does not agree with him “losers.” As far as Harris and Clinton go, neither became president. Suzanne, FYI, I’m not the Moderate. Wrong again. I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal with a touch of progressiveness. Do my posts sound like the Moderate?

If the Electoral College mirrored the national will, Trump’s 49.8% popular vote would’ve earned 268 Electoral votes, 3 short of the 271 needed to win, instead of 312. The House would then vote. The GOP House would’ve chosen Trump, but the specious claim of a “landslide Electoral mandate” could no longer be made. The Electoral College is an anachronism, deliberately skewed to favor small states, and not reflective of the popular vote.
JR said that our President, “is now using American troops against American citizens on American soil.” If this individual weren’t inflicted with chronic TDS, they would clearly see that our great President “is now using American troops to keep American citizens safe on American soil.”

Jay Miller, you claim Trump supporters make stuff up just because your default information hub, CNN, doesn’t report it. Do a little unbiased research before you make any asinine assumptions. It’s not only entirely possible, but it’s a fact that the leftist mainstream media syndicate deliberately refuses to report (hide things) to protect the Democrat Party and their corrupt bigwigs. Case in point – You’re reading The Mercury, aren’t you? Game. Set. Match.

Dot, thanks for the laugh in your recent post about paying back college loans. Advice to a college grad from a school crossing guard. Whoopie. Also, is anyone crazier than RFK in the Felon’s cabinet? Firing the new head of the CDC, a woman who was hand-picked by Taco because she doesn’t agree with their vaccine agenda. By the way, RFK believes in a debunked theory that vaccines cause autism. MAGA — Make America Gavin Again.

There was a pleasantly surprising article in The Mercury about a global steel producer moving into the Pottstown Industrial Complex. It’s a good read. Remember when then-President Obama said manufacturing jobs were not coming back to this country, no matter who was president? I guess it just takes the right president and the right policies!
Robert Minninger
It is stunning to hear Democrats complain about crime decreasing in Washington, DC. The Democrats seem to be angry that Trump is being successful at ridding our Capitol of gangs, shootings, carjackings, rapes, robberies, and muggings. Trump is showing everyone that we don’t have to live with crime.
Sam Tasik
Congress has failed the American people. You voted them in; now vote them out before we become a dictatorship.

A tip of my hat to the Boyertown Museum for another great Duryea Day. Beautiful cars, old friends, and fond memories shared. Also, I met and had a great conversation with someone we all know as “The Moderate.” It truly is a small world.
