Experts say California’s $20 fast-food wage hike has resulted in 18,000 fewer jobs since April 2024 — a 3.2% drop, far steeper than losses in other states’ fast-food sectors. Pennsylvania Democrats want the same here.
Upper Pottsgrove commissioners call the awarded contract of $9.5 million Taj Mahal a township win-win. Don’t know about that, this goes back to the sewer sale! I suspect the real reason for the sale was to build the Taj! Sale of the system to Pennsylvania American Water included hooking up other parts of the township. Status please? If the Taj was by private business, probably cut the cost by $4 million, maybe!
These youngsters are embracing socialism. Can someone please educate them? Someone has to pay for it, duh. Someone is the hard-working men and women in our great country, who have a great work ethic. Please keep your hands off our income and go out and earn your own.
Supporters appreciate Donald Trump for his focus on border security, tax cuts, economic growth, deregulation, and tough foreign policy. They see him as a political outsider who challenges establishment norms and prioritizes American interests. Many credit him with reshaping the judiciary, standing up to China, exposing the Democrat party, and promoting energy independence. His direct communication style resonates with voters who feel overlooked by traditional politicians.

Hey Patriot 54, you really need to stop sending items into Sound Off because each one reveals your ignorance. Recruitment bonuses are not handouts — period. They’re meant to attract the best applicants for the job. Businesses do this all the time. A handout is for doing nothing; a recruitment bonus is to reward effort and work. Can your IQ understand this? Duh!
Still Amazed
Only tea imported to the American colonies from Britain was legal, and a tariff, paid by Americans to Britain, was placed on it, by Britain. There were many reasons for the American Revolution, but the Boston Tea Party (a “Sons of Liberty” protest) was triggered by a tariff. Think about that. Remember, China, Canada, Mexico, etc., are not paying tariffs to Trump’s administration, while it cuts funding to services for Americans. You are.
Deranged Democrat politicians and their MSM have completely lost it. Upon hearing news reports of record-setting GDP growth for the last quarter, radical left-wing anti-Trump Dems and their propaganda legacy media machine all began parroting the same refrain – “the economic performance reports are all a mirage.” In other words, don’t believe your own eyes; instead, you should believe the Democrat Party that told you our borders were secure and men can have periods.

As far as Michael Stern’s Sound Off comments are concerned, I would be happy if he had 2 or 3 of his submissions every day in Sound Off. Plus 3 or 4 from Robert Minninger and Greg Levengood. Their comments are insightful, truthful, and interesting. They are not repetitive like the mind-numbed Democrat robots who write the same thing day in and day out. By the way, Jim Fitch had more letters than Stern.

Bus fume Dot, please post the facts behind your ramblings in the August 1st Sound Off. Real facts, not what you heard on Fox News. Now Felony Don the Lying Con wants to bring back the Presidential Fitness Test. Not a bad idea, but how about giving up McDonald’s cheeseburgers and removing the button that orders your Diet Cokes from your desk? Set an example. Lol, Taco Boy setting a good example, my bad.

How can we get the man-child to understand basic math? If a $200 item is increasing by 200% the new price of the item is $600. If it is reduced by 100% a $200 item is free. The man-child said he would reduce drugs by 4,000%. That is mathematically impossible.

PK, in response to your post of July 30. If you look back at Sound Off since the beginning of July through today, the majority of posts in Sound Off were lodged against Democrats in Sound Off by MAGAts. Democrats posted fewer. Furthermore, MAGAts referred to Democrats with negative names by a margin of 3 to 1. You’re spreading a great deal of chicken flop without sufficient backup.

So the pitch to carmakers right now is “build in the US and you’ll pay a 50% tariff on your steel and a 25% tariff on your car parts. Or build in the EU/Japan and you’ll only have to pay a 15% tariff.” What the hell are we even doing here? More insanity from a corrupt, inept administration.

I am still laughing at the DNC’s X post complaining about the high grocery prices in 2025. The DNC posted a graph showing low prices from 2016 through 2020 and then the skyrocketing prices from 2021 to 2025. Now, who was in charge from 2021 to 2024? Needless to say, Carville must’ve called in and told them how asinine the post was, and they deleted the post. See it at https://www.foxnews.com/media/democratic-party-posts-biden-era-price-hikes-widely-mocked-x-post-attacking-trump.

First step after getting a disappointing jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics? Fire the head of the BLS. Next step? Send the FBI to find out who’s in charge of reality.

OMG! Will you please get off the National Guard kick! Yeah, I think they’re good for sandbagging and hosting barbecue outings. RM has them buried in graves, and Robbie A. has them rolling in the mud. I’m glad you think that they’re important. That’s fine for you, MAGA lackeys. The cornhole tournament must go on.
Lefty, Staying Strong As Usual
The partisan leftist mainstream media’s ritual wailing and gnashing of teeth over Colbert’s canning is quite revealing. They’re acting like they’re losing a loyal DNC spokesperson who was entitled to an exemption from the laws of free market economics and entitled to immunity from consumer rejection of his vile, Democrat vitriolic rhetoric masquerading as progressive humor. Kimmel and “The View” know they can’t be far behind.

When speakers talk too loudly and for too long, people forget what the speaker said. Fact, not fiction.

James Carville is resurrecting the idea of “packing the Supreme Court” to save democracy. For once, I agree with Carville. Let’s do it now!

Today I spent a full hour on my new treadmill. My goal for tomorrow is to actually plug it in.
