The results are in, and DOGE is accomplishing at least one of its goals. The number of federal government jobs went down by 9,000 in April, and the total number of federal jobs erased is down by 26,000 since January. Meanwhile, the number of private sector jobs is up.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright reported that not only did the bumbling Biden administration’s reckless depletion of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) leave the reserve at a 40-year low level, but the depletion also damaged two of the salt caverns used to store the oil. Secretary Wright estimates that it will take several years to repair the SPR facilities. It’s just another Biden disaster that Trump needs to fix.
Was promotion of Trump protests on the front page of The Mercury an act of journalism or an in-kind political contribution? Noteworthy were organizers who tagged the May 1 events “a national day of solidarity/stop the billionaire takeover. We are the many. They are the few.” Per Forbes, Trump counted 52 billionaires in his camp. Harris? Eighty-three who facilitated a 2:1 funding advantage in what has become a party overflowing with self-interested oligarchs.

The anti-Trump Pottstown rallies drew about 100 people each, which does not seem like a lot. I saw the picture of the organizer’s husband handing out free water. The judicial branch was never intended to dictate foreign policy or immigration enforcement. These are executive powers only, as outlined in Article II of the Constitution, while Congress holds the power to restrict federal courts. But until Congress acts, these two-bit activist judges are usurping authority, rewriting the law from the bench, and weaponizing their rulings to undermine President Trump because of their bias and hatred of him. That is their sole purpose.

President Trump has announced that he is going to reopen Alcatraz to house America’s most dangerous criminals instead of El Salvador.
