• Tommy Conwell & The Young Rumblers are set to perform Friday at 7 p.m. at the Upper Merion Township Building Park in King of Prussia. The band consists of Tommy Conwell, Chris Day, Paul Slivka, Rob Miller and Jim Hannum. Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers broke onto the Philadelphia music scene in 1984 after performing at JC Dobbs at Third and South streets. • Magician and comedian Ran’D Shine is set to perform Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Sellersville theater in Bucks County. Ran’D Shine is known for performing real magic for real people. No video edits or actors, just pure mind-boggling magic entertainment. His style draws from his playful interactive relationship with his audience combined with his psychological illusions, sleight of hand and storytelling. Native to Philadelphia, Ran’D has performed at college campuses across the U.S.; at military bases in Japan, Guam and Korea; and overall in 27 countries. • Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Band perform tonight at 7:30 at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester. Reed is a jazz vocalist, arranger, composer and bandleader living in Philadelphia. In October 2012, she invited a few friends over to play for swing dancers in a South Philly living room. Since that fateful day, she’s been singing and playing for audiences all over the world and adding band members along the way as the leader of the Fair Weather Band. With five albums and over a decade of touring under their belts, Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Band continue to bring the soul of a dance to any show, whether at a jazz club, backroom blues bar or festival stage. They have shared a bandstand with trumpeter Terell Stafford and trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, who is featured on their 2017 release “Spreadin’ Rhythm Around.” Their 2020 release “Carolina Lullaby” showcases original songs steeped in jazz, blues and folk traditions where Reed’s soaring vocals and swing musicality shine.
