The next thing DOGE should check for waste is the Postal Service. At 6:45 PM Easter Sunday, a postal truck in Upper Pottsgrove is making deliveries. I’m sure that mail could have waited another day or two instead of paying four hours of overtime or double time to deliver a few packages. How many Post Offices are doing the same thing in the 50 states? If anyone needs something that badly, they should order it sooner.

R.M.: Consumer prices declined by 0.1% in March after rising by 0.2% in February, because world oil prices dropped. Little to do with Trump. Annual inflation is still 2.4%. Just means prices are inflating slightly slower, not dropping. A 0.1% decline translates to something costing $99.90 instead of $100.00, so purchasing a $99.90 item from China, after a 145% tariff, will cost $144.86 instead of $145.00. BTW, Trump-influenced government economic data is now suspect.

Across America, private wages grew by $67 billion in 2025, but government payments to recipients surged by $162 billion. A big part of that is Medicaid payments to Illegal Immigrants. That is unsustainable. We cannot be paying for the living expenses of unproductive illegal immigrants.

Patriot54, with $7 trillion in annual federal spending, there’s waste! Turn DOGE on the Postal Service, most mail is junk. Congress should split each district in half, three-day delivery M-W-F or T-T-S packages, seven days! Done through attrition, 40 percent of vehicles could be eliminated! Locally, the Postmaster would require mailboxes where required by postal regulations, Rosedale, for example, cutting time on those routes in about half!
For being the party that ushered 10 million illegals across our southern border, then getting exposed for their fraudulent governmental waste, spending us into 40-year high inflation, and then lying about the obvious mental acuity of Joe Biden before ultimately getting throttled in our last election, wouldn’t you think Democrats would be a little humble? Recently, while waiting at the doctor’s office, I noticed a poster quoting the cost of a brain transplant. It read: Normal brain — $4,300, Above average brain — $10,000, Democrat brain — $750,000. I asked the doctor why the Democrat brain was so expensive. He replied, “Do you have any idea how many donors it takes to get one good ounce of ‘Democrat’ brain?”
